Humpty Dumpty Had a Great Fall!

Tonight we had a thunderstorm "blow" through Decatur. It didn't seem any worse than previous ones. HOWEVER . . . after the storm had passed, our neighbor called to ask, "Sandra, did you know that a tree in your yard has fallen?" Needless to say, we all ran outside to see what happened. This is what we saw . . .

I asked Daniel to stand there so you can see just how large the root system was. We were very blessed that there is no damage to our storage barn or our house. We can't get close enough to see if there is damage to Mr. Russell's barn yet. Anyone need any firewood?? Someone from our church is coming out in the morning to check on what it will take to remove the tree, etc. There is never a dull moment at our house!
